Transportation

Transportation Form

Hours for the normal day are 7:55 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for grades 1 – 8 and 7:55 am – 2:21pm for Kindergarten and 8:10 am – 2:16 pm for pre-kindergarten. An extended care program is provided daily on an hourly basis.

State law in New Jersey, N.J.S.A. 18A:39-1, requires school districts that transport public school students to also provide busing for private school students within a 20 mile radius.  In order to provide busing under the State Cap Limitation, the state combines transportation for several private and parochial elementary and secondary schools in our area. When it is not feasible for a local Board of Education to arrange transportation, parents are given a reimbursement of approximately $1,000 by the Board.  If busing is provided, your local Bd. of Ed. is responsible for determining bus stops, routes, and times.

The following towns traditionally bus to OHA:  Middletown Township, Holmdel, Red Bank Regional (Red Bank, Little Silver, and Shrewsbury.)

For other towns, it is up to the local district to determine busing and can vary from year to year. Please check with your local school board to determine whether busing will be provided or a reimbursement distributed.

NJ Private School Transportation

If busing is provided, your local Board of Education is responsible for determining bus stops, routes, and times.
